Q. What is the Ride for Hope bike ride?
A. The Ride for Hope charity bike ride was developed to raise awareness and funds for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, a health care facility that provides specialized care for children living with life-threatening illness and support for their families throughout British Columbia. Encompassing over 200 kilometres, the bike ride starts in Surrey and finishes in Hope.
Q. When is the Ride for Hope?
A. The 2012 Ride for Hope will be held on Wednesday, July 11th, starting at 7:30am. in South Surrey. The bike ride will finish in Hope around 6 p.m.

Q. What charity benefits from Ride for Hope?
A. The proceeds generated from the Ride for Hope effort are paid directly to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. Canuck Place opened its doors in 1995 as the first free standing children’s hospice in North America. Today it is recognized globally as a leader in pediatric palliative care sharing knowledge, expertise and research regionally, nationally and internationally to assist in the further development of best practices in this field.
Canuck Place offers a comprehensive continuum of care to over 350 children and teens with life-threatening illnesses and their families throughout British Columbia.
The program is unique offering world-class health care within a home-like environment. With comfortable surroundings, personalized programs, caring professional staff and dedicated volunteers, it is a place for children and families to come in their time of need.

Q. How much money has the Ride for Hope raised for Canuck Place?
A. So far the Ride for Hope and the releated events have raised over $307,000 in support of Canuck Place Children's Hospice. Last year's ride alone raised over $107,000
Q. How many years has the Ride for Hope been running?
A. The Ride for hope began in the Summer of 2007.
This years Ride will be the 6th consecutive and will be held on Wednesday, July 11th, 2012.

A. Yes! Every year there are several fund-raising events that all contribute
to the Ride for Hope. These include:
